Senior Bartender

Born in Hetauda, Nepal, Sanjeev was aware of the bigger world from childhood and always planned to travel far and wide. Once he found Australia, he knew it was the place to make his life and career. He began working part-time in restaurants while studying accounting, and the love of people-facing work led him to bartending. Connecting with people, making them comfortable and relaxed, became a skill more appealing than number crunching.

From Beckett’s Restaurant in Glebe to the Henry Deane cocktail lounge at Palisades Hotel in The Rocks, Sanjeev steered towards a major international hotel, wanting to be a part of a global brand. Four Seasons Hotel Sydney’s renowned customer service was the drawcard, a place where bartenders run a show for guests that is as much humanity as it is theatrics. He loves exploring flavours, channelling his food inspirations from his country of origin into drinks that are taste experiences.
