At Grain, there’s nothing we love more than creating. So when pulling together our new spring-summer menu, we focused on discovery and experimentation – drawing inspiration from the beauty of produce during the warmer months, and crafting it into something special.
The all-new cocktail list and food menu features flavour pairings lending themselves to sharing or indulging alone – celebrating the fine craft of drinking with good company.
Smoke and mirrors along with refined skill elevate our spring-summer creations into much more than a menu, and closer to a show. See the lead performers below, but rest assured – the other acts are just as special.
A Pirate Wearing a Dress
This pirate brings the smoke show. Cassia bark is set alight to create a cloud of smoke which dances inside the glass before the bold take on an old-fashioned is poured. $20.
Did someone say paradise? Escape with Kentiki, a curious blend of woody and tropical notes. The flavours of passionfruit, lime and grenadine combine with Woodford Reserve and Woodford Rye, creating the ultimate oasis of taste. $20.
We couldn’t bring the whole island, so we just took the coconut! Explore seasonal flavour pairings with fresh pineapple infused rum, combined with figue liqueur, maple syrup, and guava juice served inside a hollowed out coconut. $20.
A Floral Surprise
For those who want to say it with flowers (and those who love gin!). The secret to this one is our house-made macadamia orgeat syrup, crafted with locally sourced macadamia nuts which have been roasted, sweetened, pan-cooked, crushed and strained in-house. Combined with our hibiscus syrup and The Botanist gin, its no wonder this surprise speaks louder than words. $20.
The Blackberry is a Trick
Showcasing Grain’s playful yet sophisticated side, succulent lychee and fresh thyme are married in a syrup and paired with Ketel One vodka, peach liqueur and orange blossom. The result is a delicious translucent liquid, finished off with (you guessed it) a vibrant blackberry. $20.
